During our read aloud time the past few weeks, the kids and I have been enjoying a classic book, Carry on, Mr. Bowditch. It’s given us a fascinating peek into the world of nautical navigation and life in early America. Main character Nat is a brilliant navigator and during his various voyages at sea he finds himself repeatedly taking measurements, plotting the course, and if necessary, making course corrections. It is the careful course plotting and course correcting that gets his ships–and all aboard–where they want to go.
Here at The Touring Camper we thought it might be time to take stock of our current “course” and make sure we’re sailing in the direction that brings continued benefit to you all. Since starting the website in 2014, our readership has grown quite a bit: This past month we had more than 70,000 page views. Wow–that’s something, and we thank you all for your support and interest in The Touring Camper!
Going forward, though, we want to make sure the content we produce is of continued interest and benefit to our readers. So we put together a little survey that will help us learn more about what you enjoy reading at The Touring Camper. The results of the survey will help us decide where to focus our time and energies, and perhaps identify any places we might need a course correction to keep us sailing on track.
Below you will find our little survey. It covers questions about what you like to read at TheTouringCamper.com, what you skip, and what you would like to see more of here. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts–and most of all for being part of The Touring Camper community!
Note: To answer all the questions, you will need to use the blue scroll bar to navigate within the survey box and then click the “Submit” button at the end.
